Often overlooked but never unimportant — the right underlay makes a significant difference to the performance, comfort, and longevity of your gym flooring installation. RAW Fitness Equipment's Gym Flooring Underlay is a 10mm low-density foam layer designed to sit beneath rubber gym tiles and sled turf, solving two of the most common flooring installation challenges: noise reduction and height levelling.
Why Use Gym Flooring Underlay?
- Additional noise and vibration dampening — all RAW rubber flooring has inherent sound-dampening properties, but adding underlay provides an extra layer of acoustic protection — particularly valuable in multi-level buildings or shared facilities
- Height levelling between turf and tiles — when sled turf is installed between rubber tiles, height discrepancies can occur depending on tile thickness. A layer of underlay beneath the turf raises it to match the surrounding floor level, creating a smooth, seamless, and safe transition
- Softer, more cushioned feel underfoot — adds comfort for high-rep floor work, stretching, and mobility training
- Odourless — no off-gassing, suitable for enclosed gym environments
